Lantern Time
11 09 2011中秋节又来临了! It’s mooncake festival time again and as usual, we would all gather for dinner and let the kids play with lanterns (more like candles only nowadays).
It seems the festival is no longer like what it was meant to be, where children of the surrounding would all gather and go for walkabouts while the adults would gather to taste the mooncakes. Modern-day paranoia has made it such that all the kids celebrate within the confines of their own home only, while mooncakes are bought more for giving and not so much for eating. Seriously, have you seen some of the odd-taste mooncakes being sold? *BWEEAAGGHHHH*

A Trip To The Mines
20 03 2010This morning, we decided to go to The Mines shopping mall for some window shopping and “market research”. It’s been quite a while since I came to the mall and things have changed a lot since ownership changed hands.
We had breakfast at Old Town Kopitiam (where else) before proceeding to walk around the mall. Wifey bought caps for the kids, both with Mickey Mouse motif. Later, we bought a cake for my dad’s birthday tonight.
One thing unique about the mall is the canal that runs through it. There were plenty of fishes found inside it, so we bought bread to feed it so that they would surface to let the kids see them. There’s really a lot of BIG koi fish, catfish and other species.
We had lunch at A&W before heading home.

Family Time at Breakfast
18 03 2010I had a bit of time to spare this morning, as I was required to attend a meeting in HQ at 10am. So we decided to grab a quick breakfast nearby the apartment.
We walked over to the coffee shop in front of Maybank near Kenanga Point for breakfast. While waiting for the food and drinks, I asked the wife to help grab a few pix of me and the kids.

Trip to Central Matket
14 03 2010We came to Central Market this morning to look for something as a gift to be given to my father for his birthday next week. It’s been years since I last came here and things have changed a lot in this building.
We had breakfast at Old Town Kopitiam before we went around the mall. We finally settled on a customized mug which had a photo of the kids.

Senawang Sojourn
7 12 2008We took a trip back to Senawang to spend some time sprucing up the house, as well as have some family time together as a break from the hustle and bustle of city life.
Anyway, I gave the camera to Julia to let her take some pictures.

Hmm...

HMM...
Okay, I think I should be the one taking the pictures.
Seeing their happy faces just makes my day.

Trip To Ulu Bendul
27 10 2008We took a trip to Ulu Bendul Recreational Forest today with Christina’s relatives i.e. brothers, sister, nieces, nephews, cousins, etc. We departed from the house at 9.15am and reached there around 10.00am, just nice to find a cool and relaxing spot.
The water was ice-cold, since it flowed down from the mountains above. The kids had a fun time swimming in the pool, while the adults were all busy eating and drinking all the food that was brought there.
We left around 3.00pm and headed back home, where everyone just kinda napped because of tiredness. We left Jason back at the babysitter’s in the evening and had dinner before heading back to Klang. It was a slow drive back, as the highway was jammed with other commuters heading back too after a long weekend.

Back To Senawang For A Break
26 10 2008It’s Deepavali tomorrow, and it’s surely a long weekend for most folks. We took a trip back to Senawang to see Jason at the babysitter’s house, as well as do the periodic cleaning up of the house. The lawn grass is getting taller and the interior is dustier, so it’s time to get down to cleaning it up.
After the clean up, we spent some time to just relax and prepare whatever was needed for the trip to Ulu Bendul tomorrow.
